Parker will be aiming to continue his push for another world title opportunity against Opelu after losing to Joe Joyce in September of last year. Parker got back on track with a points victory over Jack Massey at the beginning of the year.

Opelu’s most recent match took place in March and was adjudged a technical draw after Kris Terzievski, Opelu’s opponent, sustained an ankle injury in the third round, forcing the ringside doctor to adjourn the contest early.
