Team India Jersey: BCCI have clinched a significant contract with the global athletic goods company adidas. The sporting aparel giants adidas will start sponsoring the India Cricket Team’s jerseys starting next month. So, for the World Test Championship Final 2023 (WTC Final 2023), which begins on June 7 at Kennington Oval in London, Rohit Sharma and company will wear Adidas jerseys.
Killer Jeans took the jersey sponsorship rights from MPL Sports and are currently the sponsor of Team India. However, BCCI have now partnered up with a well-known MNC that is connected to sports.
Between 2016 and 2020, Nike was the last significant sports company to sponsor India’s colors. But in 2020, MPL Sports (Mobile Premier League) spent Rs 370 Crore to become the jersey sponsor for India. MPL left the agreement while it was still set to expire in December 2023, giving Killer Jeans the rights.
However, given that KKCL’s Killer Jeans have no experience producing sporting items, they haven’t exactly complimented India Cricket or the BCCI’s brand image. It hasn’t contributed any value because the majority of the players are sponsored by well-known companies like Nike, Adidas, or Puma.
As a result, the BCCI was always on the lookout for signing a significant brand.

The new jersey sponsor for Team India was revealed on Monday by honorary secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah.
In a collaboration with the BCCI, Adidas has been revealed as Indian Cricket Team’s jersey sponsor.
Adidas previously sponsored the England Cricket Team and the Mumbai Indians. The German giants adidas sponsors the current India team’s captain Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, and Rishabh Pant.
