Maxwell started on a brisk rate as he stroked back to back boundaries against Noor Ahmad. However, the right-handed batter tried to play a careful stroked against Rashid but the ball sneaked through to rattle the stumps. Meanwhile, former RCB skipper Virat Kohli completed his 8th IPL 2023 fifty but lost partners on the other end against the defending champions.
Rashid ended his spell after giving away just 24 runs in his four overs spell with one wicket in his pocket. He bowled a tight fourth over giving away just 6 runs in the death overs. To note, Rashid has been amongst the wickets and is the top contender for the purple winner.
