Jaydev Unadkat will travel to London with the first batch of players for the WTC Final 2023. The left-arm seamer is recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered last month while bowling at Lucknow Super Giants nets. He was ruled out of IPL 2023. Jaydev Unadkat will complete his rehab in London and the BCCI is hopeful that he will be 100% match-fit by June 7 India vs Australia final at Oval. “Yes, Jaydev is traveling with the team. He is nearing the completion of his rehab. But he is yet to be a match fit. He has begun low-intensity bowling. But we are hopeful that he will be okay by the next week or so,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.

While Unadkat might not have made it to the Playing XI of the WTC Final, his left-arm seam would have helped Rohit Sharma & Co prepare for Mitchell Starc. Another left-arm seamer Mohsin Khan could board the flight as a net bowler.
As for the other paceman Umesh Yadav, he is all set to be part of the team. The Vidarbha pacer has begun high-intensity training with Kolkata Knight Riders under Bharat Arun and KKR medical team’s observation. He is set to board the flight on May 23 for London.

Meanwhile, Team India will leave in three batches. The first batch will head to London on May 23 at midnight from Mumbai. Head coach Rahul Dravid will have the company of his entire coaching staff besides the ousted players from IPL 2023. It includes Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav among others.
As IPL 2023 playoffs will be decided only today, some of the stars such as Virat Kohli or captain Rohit Sharma will only board the flight on May 25 or later depending on the results. Both Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians are in the race for playoffs and only one of them will make it.
If RCB are out, Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj along with Ravichandran Ashwin from Rajasthan Royals will reach London on May 25. If Mumbai Indians are out, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan will reach there on May 25.
Ajinkya Rahane, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and others will reach London after IPL 2023 Final on May 28.
