WWE SmackDown results: Last week Roman Reigns expressed his disgust at The Usos for losing at WrestleMania 39 and again failing to bag a win all by themselves at WWE Backlash. This week, The Usos had a chance to make it up to their Tribal Chief, since they had a match against Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar. Friday Night SmackDown this week kicked off with Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. Also, a few moments later, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens walked out. The teams got engaged in a verbal exchange. Meanwhile, the Usos appeared and attacked Zayn and Owens. This offended Roman Reigns who walked away.
Later, for the main event of the night, a match was set up between The Usos and LWO (Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar). However, prior to their match, Paul Heyman approached the Usos and mentioned that Roman Reigns has forgiven them. He then stated that he is confident that The Usos will be able to take down Rey and Escobar on their own. However, things didn’t go well for the Usos during the match.

The match began with Jey Uso and Rey Mysterio. However, both the men tagged out soon and Escobar and Jimmy were going back and forth. Backstage, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman were seen watching.
Rey Mysterio took down Jey and Jimmy. Escobar tagged in and wiped out The Usos. Jey then nailed a Frog Splash on Rey but the latter kicked out.
Finally, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came out and caused a distraction. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio nailed the 619 on Jimmy Uso and Escobar delivered the Frog Splash and pinned him. Thus, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar Defeated The Usos. Backstage, Roman Reigns looked utterly disappointed.
