With just 18 days left for the big match, the injury news has left the Indian fans worried. The 36-year-old has struggled with back injuries in the past. Ashwin played with a sore back in the Sydney Test and missed out at Gabba where India pulled off a historic win.
Indian team is battling with fitness problems ahead of the WTC final. Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer have already been ruled out of the one-off Test due to injuries, while pacers Jaydev Unadkat, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav are also dealing with fitness issues.
