Manchester United have recently lost 1-0 twice on road against Brighton and West Ham United. They came back tot heir winning ways against Wolves last week at home when they came away with a 2-0 win. Anthony Martial scored the first goal at the 32nd minute mark and ended his 8-match goal drought. The second goal came from the youngster Alejandro Garnacho who came on as a susbstitute in the 81st minute. He scored the second goal for Man United in the stoppage time in 90+4th minute.

With that goal, Garnacho became the the Premier League player with the most goals (three) as a substitute in a game. Garnacho’s tealent became conspicuous in the Man United shirt this season. The player has mostly appeared as a substitute, but he was close to becoming a regular for the team when he sustained an injury. He was out for almost 2 months due to a serious ankle issue. He played his first match last weekend after coming back recovering from the injury.

On his first match coming back, he scored a goal within the few minutes he was on the the pitch. This could earn him a spot in the starting lineup against Bournemouth. He could get some competition from a recently recovered Marcus Rashford. Along with Rashford, recently recovered Scott McTominay was also seen training with the first team ahead of this week’s match. However, even though Rashford has trained with the team throughout the week, he has recently reported he’s ill.

Coach Ten Hag has said ahead of the match, “Rashy, he trained the whole week but today he reported he doesn’t feel well so he’s ill. We have to see how he recovers during the day and then see tomorrow.” However, if Rashford recovers before the match, both Garnacho and him will be on the line to puch away Jadon Sancho for a spot on the left.

Coach Erik Ten Hag will probably start recently rejuvenated Martial as the central forward instead of Wout Weghorst. Their injured players’ list contains three of their key players who will be out for the rest of the season – Lisandro Martinez out due to an ankle issue, Donny van de Beek and Marcel Sabitzer out owing to knee problems. Raphael Varane recovered from his injury and started the Man United’s last match against Wolves. He will probably take his place beside Victor Lindelof in the central defensive position.

Coach Ten Hag will have to choose between Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the right back. However, Dalot spent the last match on the bench and the coach could line up the same back 4 as last day with Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, and Shaw. As Martial starts in the central forward position, Antony, Fernandes, and Rashford could be giving him support from the attacking position. While Casemiro and Eriksen will continue to hold the fort in the midfield.

Manchester United Predicted XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
