One Championship Honors Late Victoria Lee By Announcing Victoria Lee Award to offer scholarships
Recently, One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong made a special announcement to offer the Victoria Lee Award to a fighter each year. ONE added January 13th would be recognized as ‘Victoria Lee Day’. It is the same day on which she was scheduled to fight her next opponent, however, she passed away due to illness in Hawaii.
On the other hand, Evolve MMA where Victoria did her MMA training and was an emerging star in ONE from the same academy has put forth another initiative. Evolve MMA will provide scholarships to deserving youths to honor the legacy of Victoria Lee. Chatri said, “deserving youths who wish to pursue their dream of becoming a world champion in martial arts”. will get selected and will be awarded the scholarship. The applicants who are willing to fulfill their MMA dream should give their applications on Evolve MMA’s official site and they must be under 18 years old.
Chatri wished Victoria Lee on her birthday with warm wishes.
He said, “Angela, her family, and I have had multiple discussions over the last several months on the best way to honour Victoria’s life,” he added. “We would love to ensure that her legacy of selfless love, beautiful kindness and raw authenticity lives forever.
