Conor McGregor is currently on a losing spree and hasn’t won a fight since knocking out Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in January 2020. He then suffered consecutive losses against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and UFC 264, respectively.
After getting his ankle snapped at UFC 264, Conor McGregor looked like he would never make it back to the UFC cage. Although he vowed to fight Poirier for the fourth time, it didn’t appear like Conor McGregor can regain his spirits.
However, Conor McGregor has recovered completely and is back at the UFC. It remains to be seen whether he can finally return to the win column by vanquishing ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler next.
Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler- Which Weight Category will host the fight?
Both Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have suffered their latest defeats at the hands of Dustin Poirier at 155 lbs weight class. The lightweight, hence, is the perfect weight class to see them lock horns. But McGregor has bulked up extensively and is expected to meet Chandler at 170 lbs.
In a recent video from TUF 31, Conor McGregor was spotted teasing his move up to 185 lbs for the Michael Chandler fight. As he is in the lucrative position to call shots, it’s hard to predict the exact weight class at the moment.
