Francis Ngannou has also been appointed as the Chairman of PFL Africa and his opponent has been assured $ 2 million in payment. All of this happened after Dana White wrote off Ngannou’s chances of fighting in the UFC ever.

Francis Ngannou rejected an $ 8 million payday to face Jon Jones in the UFC. However, his latest move towards joining PFL MMA seems to be a suitable one. At least, that’s what MMA Twitter believes.

Francis Ngannou is considered one of the scariest fighters in the world right now. He left the UFC while holding the heavyweight title. Now that he will compete in PFL, his latest contract also allows him to compete in a boxing showdown.

After leaving the UFC, Francis Ngannou failed to crack deals with One Championship, Bellator MMA, and BKFC. Several people criticized him for quitting the UFC. However, ‘The Predator’ appears to have chalked out his path.

Dana White Tried to Keep Francis Ngannou In the UFC

Dana White clarified the fact several times that he intended Francis Ngannou to remain at the Ultimate Fighting Championship. However, White was hesitant to meet all the conditions put forward by his then-heavyweight champion.

White also said that Francis Ngannou is hard to negotiate with and he shall never let ‘The Predator’ appear in the UFC ever again. Now that would deprive the MMA world of several high-profile fights including the one between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou.

Meanwhile, PFL MMA is reportedly in talks to acquire Bellator MMA. Hence, the PFL heavyweight category can see some interesting names pop up and that would intensify Francis Ngannou’s upcoming MMA journey.
