Intercontinental Cup 2023: Indian Football Team National Camp: The Indian Football Team has reached Bhubaneshwar, Odisha to kick off the India National Camp ahead of the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2023 and SAFF Championship 2023.The Igor Stimac coached team will begin their preparations from May 16th. SAFF Championship 2023 Draw on May 17, Indian Football Team eye consecutive titles – Follow SAFF 2023 LIVE

Igor Stimac’s men were most recently in action at the Hero Tri-Nation Tournament, where they won the trophy after defeating Kyrgyzstan 2-0 in the final.Sunil Chhetri and Sandesh Jhingan scored goals in the decisive to propel the Blue Tigers to victory. Earlier in the competition, they defeated Myanmar 1-0 due to a goal by Anirudh Thapa.

It will be the first competitive competition for the Indian national senior men’s team since the Hero Tri Nation Cup in Imphal, Manipur. The Intercontinental Cup was created in 2018 by the All India Football Federation with the intention of holding the competition in India.The four-team Hero Intercontinental Cup will be held from June 9 to June 18 during the FIFA International Window, with hosts India competing alongside Lebanon, Mongolia, and Vanuatu.

The Intercontinental Cup is followed by the SAFF Championship. The 14th SAFF Men’s Championship will take held from June 21st to July 3rd, 2023, in Bangalore, India. India, the eight-time champion, would like to add another prize to their trophy cabinet. Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Lebanon, and Kuwait will compete in this year’s SAFF Championship.

India is in Group B of the forthcoming AFC Asian Cup 2023 in Qatar, alongside Australia, Syria, and Uzbekistan. Sunil Chhetri and company, coached by Igor Stimac, will begin their campaign against Australia on January 13th, with further matches against Syria and Uzbekistan.
