Arsenal: Arsenal’s title charge is all but done and dusted. Even the most optimistic Arsenal fan would have been worried about the last 2 months of their charge at the Premier League title. Those worries have come true as their bid to win a PL trophy has been smashed and broken. They have not been at their best in the League and have been dropping points left, right, and center. After their 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, it seems as though the trophy is all but in City’s hands. Arteta apologized to the fans and Odegaard admitted that their title bid is over, after the loss. Follow Arsenal Football Club LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

Arsenal: Premier League trophy BOTTLED? MIKEL ARTETA apologizes to Arsenal fans after their loss vs Brighton, MARTIN ODEGAARD admits title bid is OVER, Check OutAfter throwing in the championship towel, Mikel Arteta apologised angrily to the Arsenal supporters. If the Gunners lose their subsequent match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Manchester City will be declared the champions thanks to Brighton’s 3-0 home loss.
Mikel Arteta’s words after loss
The Arsenal boss was quite apologetic as he addressed the fans after the loss to Brighton & Hove Albion. The Spanish coach said, ‘I hate the feeling of letting people down when they are expecting something. That’s the biggest regret and I have to apologise for that. Second position is secure and that is not going to change but this result is going to take me a few days to digest.’
He continued, ‘My job is to get the best out of every single player and obviously today I didn’t do that, so it’s my responsibility. What the team has done over the last ten months is very different to what anybody expected and we have to manage how we deal with those expectations. We fought really hard to be in this position but when you are in a critical moment like this, you cannot do what we did in the second-half.’
Arsenal had an eight point lead over Man City on matchweek 29.

Arteta also said, ‘Now we have to look at if this team is capable of doing it when it comes to the biggest stage. With the level that is required to fight for the Premier League title and to compete in the Champions League, there’s a lot of things to think about and analyse because a performance like this cannot happen. Last Sunday we were so proud of the way we won at Newcastle and today is the complete opposite.’
Martin Odegaard laments lost PL title bid
Skipper Martin Odegaard was quite frank talking after their loss to Brighton & Hove Albion. The midfielder said, ‘It feels like there’s no hope. I don ‘t think City are going to make too many mistakes now. We have to be honest, it’s going to be very difficult now. It’s a big disappointment and tough to take.’
He continued, ‘We’ve done a lot of good things this season but this is not how we wanted it to end. At the moment I don’t have any answers but we have to accept it, learn from it and make sure we keep improving.’

Three goals from Deniz Undav, Pervis Estupinian, and Julio Enciso were sufficient to move Brighton up to sixth position and all but shun the Gunners from winning the Premier League trophy. From City’s final 3 games, if they can gather 5 points, then they would have won the Premier League title.
