Arsenal: Arsenal were at the top of the table for a long time this season. There was a huge chance that they would win the Premier League title after 19 years of waiting. However, after dropping points in consecutive matches, that chance has gone down a lot. In such a situation, coach Mikel Arteta has expressed that he still has many ideas to implement for the club’s long-term success. He also said that no player in the squad have yet reached their peak, but he will work on them. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Arsenal were on their way to win the Premier League title as they had a good enough point gap at the top of the table. However, they dropped the ball a few weeks ago as they went on a mini-winless run and collected only 3 points in 4 matches. Even though they have returned to form, there is no chance of winning the title if Manchester City don’t drop points in their remaining few games. However, Man City are currently on a 10-match winning streak in the league and show no signs of slowing down.

In this situation, Mikel Arteta expressed that Arsenal are yet to learn more to reach the top and achieve success on a long-term. He said, “We are still very, very far. We can be much, much, much better at a lot of things still. Huge margins. We can be much better in our buildup, attacking man-to-man situations, attacking open spaces, defending deep, set pieces. We have huge margins to do in terms of game management, a lot of things we can still do much better.”

Even though Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard have been brillinat this season, Arteta said that Arsenal and the players are yet to reach their peak. However, as per his words, he will try his best to help them improve more. Arteta said, “It’s a lot of things we have to see for improvement because we don’t have a single player who has reached his peak; not one. And when that happens we as coaches have to understand: what can we do to get them better?”

Saka, Martinelli, and Odegaard are having their best season so far with Arsenal. Yet, the coach is sure that they can improve further. He believes, all players can still reach their peak which will then improve the club further. Howwever, he also believes that there is a proper time to teach the players necessary lessons and that time will come later. He said, “Yeah. There are [times] to put the players in those moments and now is not the moment to do that, in my opinion.”

Arsenal recently recovered from their slump as they won 3-1 against Chelsea and impressively won their next match 0-2 against Newcastle United. They still have 3 matches left to play in the league against Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Wolves. However, Manchester City will need to lose at least 2 out of their remaining 4 games for Arsenal to win the title. That will take a miracle, but even if Arsenal manage to win, coach Mikel Arteta believes there is a lot of room for improvement for Arsenal.
