However, one loss will put them in perilous situation, as up to five teams may finish with 16 or more points. To accomplish so, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings must win all of their remaining matches; if LSG do not maximise the points from their remaining games, they will have to hope that other teams falter.
LSG still have three games in hand and can reach 17 points if they win their final three games. Surprisingly, LSG may make it to the top four with just 13 points, but in order for that to happen, the Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians must win the majority of their games, leaving the other teams with 12 or less points.
