On Friday, Rishabh Pant shared yet another positive update on his road to recovery. Currently, in Bengaluru, Pant has hit the gym as he takes more steps towards returning to his best. The Indian wicketkeeper underwent multiple surgeries on his knee and needed crutches to walk until last week.

Pant is in great spirits and does not need support while walking. However, there is still a limp while he walks and there are bandages on his ankle. His knee also has a guard to support him while he walks. On social media, Pant shared glimpses of him stretching in the gym.

He captioned the video, “Stretching out, feeling good.”

Recently, Pant shared some life lessons with the younger generation. The left-hander took some time out and interacted with the Under-16 high-performance camp at NCA Bangalore. The Delhi Capitals ace spoke about cricket but also gave the young boys perspective on life, hard work and much more.

The 25-year-old is a long way back from a return to the field. Rishabh needs at least 6-7 months more to completely recover and return, as previously reported by Insidesport.IN

Whether or not he returns as a wicket-keeper remains to be seen. Pant suffered serious damage to his knee, and it is unclear whether his body can take the burden of keeping anymore. Rishabh however will hope to build his fitness to return behind the stumps, but a comeback as a pure batter is not ruled out.
