Why is Brock Lesnar Bleeding a big issue?
Brock Lesnar’s bleeding is a big issue because it highlights a huge question about the company’s future.
Soon Endeavor will merge WWE and UFC. However, the two giant promotions follow completely different policies about showcasing blood on TV. UFC showcases blood all the time, while WWE follows a no-blood policy. However, now that the merger is near, blood might be once again allowed in WWE, and Brock Lesnar’s bleeding might be proof of that.
Previously, after the Endeavor deal, when the company’s CEO Nick Khan was questioned about whether the deal would bring a more intense wrestling style, he said,
“Look, when we’re specifically talking about the 10 to 11 hours on RAW, we’re talking to NBCU and ourselves about what we do moving forward. We ask, what do we do if we tweak this, that 10 to 11 hour…We think that NBCU would be supportive, but we’re not on a conclusion on that.”
Thus, Brock Lesnar’s bleeding might be a big issue, as it might hint that WWE is bringing back blood on television. However, as of now, there is no indication of any change taking place soon. Thus, the company will continue to work in the usual manner.
