Jos Buttler Nervous Nineties: How many times has Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler gotten out in the nervous nineties in the IPL? We will reveal that in a bit, but Buttler shed his poor form and scored 95 valuable runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. This was Buttler’s maiden 50 for the Royals in six innings this season. Jos Buttler’s innings consisted of 10 boundaries and four sixes. The right-handed batter registered a strike rate of 161.01. More than the innings, Jos Buttler’s dismissal made more noise. Just when the RR fans thought a sixth IPL hundred was on the cards, Buttler was dismissed for 95 in the penultimate over of the Rajasthan innings. Having scored five IPL hundreds already, Jos Buttler hasn’t gotten out in the nervous nineties in the IPL very often. Follow IPL 2023 LIVE updates with InsideSport.IN

Jos Buttler’s knock of 95 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Jaipur was only the third instance in the IPL when the opener failed to convert his score into a three-figure mark after breaching the nervous nineties mark.
Jos Buttler NERVOUS NINETIES score in IPL
- 95* vs Chennai Super Kings – Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, IPL 2018
- 94* vs Mumbai Indians – Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, IPL 2018
- 95 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, IPL 2023
Before Buttler’s Sunday exploits, the current England white-ball format skipper slammed back-to-back nervous nineties scores in the IPL 2018. The first came against the Chennai Super Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, where he scored an unbeaten 95. In the very next match, Buttler scored an unbeaten 94 against the Mumbai Indians, this time at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Coincidentally, in both games, Rajasthan Royals were chasing the target, and in both chases, Jos Buttler top scored for RR but agonizingly fell short of a century.
Jos Buttler’s dismissal against Sunrisers Hyderabad by pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the first instance in which the right-handed batsman was dismissed in the nervous nineties. Quite an achievement for a batsman who scored four hundreds in the IPL 2022.
