RR Playing XI vs SRH: RR vs SRH – The much-awaited IPL debut is here. Joe Root has been handed over the debut cap by apprentice Yashasvi Jaiswal. Despite being one of the best players in the world, Root had to wait for his chance. On a slow pitch, he has come in and will be handy with his off-spin as well. Trent Boult has made way as he has a niggle. RR are going with three foreign players in the Playing XI with Obed McCoy, Jason Holder and Adam Zampa. “Decided to bat first. Conditions also demand the same. Climate has been different. Not much dew in the later half. And sometimes it suits us also. We would’ve wanted to play better standard of cricket. We’ve had hard and honest chats. Would like to come back stronger. Few injury issues in the team. Joe Root makes his debut,” RR skipper Sanju Samson said at the toss.

In their previous game, Samson banked on Zampa to start the game meaning Holder was benched. While RR wished that Zampa would wreak havoc on the opponent with his spin and the pitch providing assistance to the spinners, it was GT who blew them apart with their strong batting

and bowling.

The batting team needs to improve after putting up a horrible performance against Gujarat Titans. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the innings while Sanju Samson will look to anchor the innings for his side with Devdutt Paddikal. Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel will don the role of a finisher for the innings.

Ravi Ashwin, Yuzi Chahal and Adam Zampa will look to weave their magic at the pitch. They will be hoping to replicate what Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad did. Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma will lead the pace attack.
