Udinese vs Napoli HIGHLIGHTS: Victor Osimhen turns up BIG, Napoli end 33 YEARS…

The two championships won by Napoli previously occurred in 1987 and 1990, under the reigns of Argentina superstar Maradona, in whose honour their stadium is now called. The club experienced financial deterioration, relegation, and insolvency after their heydays; it last competed in Serie C in 2006. Although they have three Coppa Italia victories in the last 11 years, the Scudetto is what Napoli supporters really wanted.

Over 10,000 supporters made the trip up north to support their team in Udine, but after just 13 minutes they were brought to complete silence when Lovric was given plenty of room in the box before curling the hosts in front.

As fans remembered the great while ascending to the top for the first time since he had led them there, Live Is Life was playing at the stadium bearing his name. Naples’s bay was lit up by fireworks, which started a party that probably lasted well into the night. As Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis entered the pitch with a microphone at full time, there was pure joy in Naples.
