Ansu Fati Transfer: Ansu Fati-Reuben Neves Swap Deal: Barcelona is considering an ambitious trade in which Ansu Fati would transfer from Barcelona to Wolves and Ruben Neves would do the opposite. Neves has been on the Barcelona radar for months, thanks to Portuguese superagent Jorge Merendes. The Catalan giants think that players like Martin Zubimendi and Sofyan Amrabat are more suited for the pivot position.Follow La Liga LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

The topic of Fati’s future at Barcelona is still up for discussion. The twenty-year-old would like to remain at the Spotify Camp Nou. However, Jorge Mendes reportedly came up with the notion of a swap agreement, according to a report from the Spanish news outlet Relevo. While Barcelona is interested in signing the Portugal international, Wolves have made an offer of £26.2 million ($33 million) plus Neves to the Catalan club.
Neves is thought to be a long-term alternative to Sergio Busquets, although it is unclear whether Fati would be open to moving to England. The transfer agreement depends on the winger’s consent, and Wolves, headed by former Spain manager Julen Lopetegui, are presently 14th in the Premier League standings.
The financing of Neves’ transfer fee from the first year, or €12.5, will be subtracted from any four-year contract he signs. Barca may thus use the €77.5 million from such a contract to secure a down payment in their favour.

This might significantly improve Barcelona’s financial fair play (FFP) status by allowing them to create a sizable pay gap on their books. In the case of a trade, Barca may value Fati at a high level—say, €70—while Wolves could value Neves at €50 million. After that, both players would switch clubs, and Barca would earn €20 million in cash. As a result, Barca may record a fair play of €90 million.
But it’s not an easy thing to do to make the move. Neves (26) isn’t completely persuaded by Barca, while Fati is resolute about sticking with the Blaugrana despite everything his father may have said about the team earlier this year. The young player, who has fallen down the Barcelona pecking order, must make a significant choice about his future. With only five games remaining in the season, he has only made 11 starts in La Liga.
