CSK vs MI, IPL 2023: After a brilliant match-winning innings of 75 in their successful pursuit of 215 against Punjab Kings in Mohali, Mumbai Indians’ star batter Ishan Kishan credited his mom’s food and excellent habits back home for his six-hitting prowess. Ishan Kishan was named Player of the Match for his outstanding 41-ball 75, which included 4 sixes and 7 boundaries and helped MI pass PBKS to claim the sixth place in the IPL 2023 Points Table. “There are so many senior players who have set the examples for us. So we keep training hard even if it means working out during games. But it’s also important what you eat at home, so credit goes to my mom,” Ishan Kishan said.
Despite the team losing Rohit Sharma in the first over after Punjab Kings posted 214 thanks to Liam Livingstone’s 42-ball 82 not out and Jitesh Sharma’s lightning-quick 49, Ishan brought up just his second fifty of the IPL 2023 season, but he seemed to have found top form for MI in Mohali. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav put up a 116-run partnership to defeat the Punjab Kings and showcase their power-hitting abilities.

Ishan is currently MI’s top run-scorer in the current IPL season. At the moment, the left-handed batter has 286 runs scored for him in nine games, averaging 31.77. Tim David and Tilak Verma had a field day as they once again had little trouble sending the five-time winners home as both Ishan and SKY left. Amazingly, MI had only ever pursued a 200+ score once before this season, but they have now done it twice in the last four days.
MI will next face MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings for the second time this season on Saturday, May 6 at the MA Chidambaram (Chepauk) Stadium in Chennai.
