LSG vs CSK: Quinton de Kock – KL Rahul‘s injury won’t be a blessing in disguise for Quinton de Kock as the wicketkeeper batter is set to be overlooked yet again for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rahul suffered a hamstring injury in the last game against RCB and is likely to miss the remainder of the IPL. Despite being an opening batter, De Kock won’t find a place in the playing XI as LSG will be persisting with Kyle Mayers at the top. Follow IPL 2023 Live Updates with InsideSport.IN

Mayers has kept De Kock out of the playing XI by scoring 297 runs in the nine games at a strike of 161. The Caribbean star has scored three fifties and has earned the right to be named in the playing XI due to his ability to take the game away from the opposition.

LSG vs CSK: No Quinton de Kock for LSG, Mayers Stoinis, Pooran, and Naveen ul Haq likely to be foreign players for LSG

Apart from Mayers, Stoinis, Pooran, and Naveen ul Haq will be the other three foreign players against CSK. Stoinis has so far scored 229 runs at a strike rate of 144, while Pooran has scored 225 runs at a strike rate of 191. Both the power hitters are playing a key role in the middle order and are enabling LSG to post mammoth scores in the end. Naveen ul Haq is another foreign player who has managed to keep Mark Wood out of the playing XI.

The Afghan player has picked seven wickets in four matches at an economy rate of 6.13. In Ekana’s pitch, Naveen has been more effective and that is the one of main reasons Wood is not playing.
