CSK Playing XI vs RR, CSK vs RR: In a battle between wicket-keeper captains, Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals will be looking to break their losing slump and return to form when they play take on MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings. The 37th match of the ongoing  Indian Premier League 2023 season will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Thursday, April 27. The Royals started their campaign on the right note but have since waned, losing back-to-back matches. RR are placed 3rd on the points table after losing to table-toppers CSK. CSK on the other side, are on a great run and are on course to win their 4th consecutive match and remain atop of the points table.

CSK Playing XI: Permutations and Combinations

  • CSK have enjoyed great starts with Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ajinkya Rahane taking the charge in the power-play.
  • Pacers Tushar Despande and Sri Lankan newcomer Matheesha Pathirana have been among wickets despite Despande being tad expensive.
  • Their finger spin trio have enjoyed great successful with Santner sitting out as the 4th spin option of them.
  • MS Dhoni has played some outstanding cameos so far and has been hitting the ball at a career best strike rate of 196.77. Shivam Dube is in his career best IPL form and is making full use of it with two fifties to his name this season.
  • Even with concern over the availability and fitness of Ben Stokes, CSK have never taken a step back and gotten stronger and stronger.
  • Sawai Mansingh Stadium pitch has been a tricky one as seen in the last thriller of a match between RR and LSG. On a pitch where Ashwin and Bishnoi were trouble batters, the spin trio of Mahesh Theekshana, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali will play a vital role in the CSK Playing 11.
