Bruno Fernandes Injury: A chance to win another trophy and the top 4 spots in the Premier League is in the line for Manchester United at this stage of the season. However, they are losing their key players one after another to injury now. After Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, it now seems that Bruno Fernandes could have signed his name on the injured list. The club is yet to release any official statement, but a picture posted by Fernandes’ significant other Ana Pinho tells a story of its own. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Bruno Fernandes was taken off after 101 minutes during the FA Cup semi-final Brighton vs Man United match. Fernandes seemed to fall victim to an ankle twist during the match and he was forced off the field as the match went into extra time. Wout Weghorst came in his place as Fernandes left the field in frustration. He even barked orders to his teammates from the touchline near the end of the match.
There has been no official statement on the player’s condition from the club’s side. However, Fernandes’ wife Ana Pinho posted a story on Instagram yesterday which contained a picture of the player. He was seen lying on the sofa with his right foot raised on some pillows. Crutches and protective boot cases can also be seen in the foreground with a caption on the side, “recharging”.
Manchester United’s next game is against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on the weekend. Two days later, they have another Premier League game against Aston Villa. They have the exact similar fixture next week against Brighton and West Ham respectively. The FA Cup semi-final match was already the 50th game for Bruno Fernandes this season.
Man United has not released any statement on Fernandes’ injury, but he will probably miss some of their next fixtures. Considering the team’s tight fixture, the doctor might just recommend some time off for the Portuguese midfielder. Their FA Cup final match against Manchester City is on June 3, so it can be expected that Fernandes will be back on the field long before that match.
