KKR vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings are taking on Kolkata Knight Riders in an away encounter of the Indian Premier League. Batting first, CSK has posted a mammoth total of 235 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Despite the home team being battered all over the park, the crowd at Eden Gardens shouted their lungs out as they wanted to witness CSK skipper MS Dhoni to have a bat in Kolkata. After putting in to bat first by Nitish Rana, the openers started with a flash adding 59 runs in the powerplay. Suyash Sharma the new recruit for KKR got the first wicket in the 8th over knocking Ruturaj Gaikwad’s off stump as the opener walked back for 35.

Ajinkya Rahane joined the already set Devon Conway and started in aggressive fashion hitting all the bowlers all over and also played some unorthodox strokes for boundaries. Devon Conway scored his fifty in 34 balls and was out for 56 to Varun Chakravarthy. CSK crossed 100 in the 11th over when Shivam Dube (50 off 21) walked in at number 4 and continued where Conway left off hitting 5 big sixes and 2 fours bringing up his 50 in 20 balls.

Rahane and Dube, the Mumbai boys added 85 runs for the third wicket when Dube perished in the 18th over to Kulwant Khejroliya. Ravindra Jadeja also scored quickly in his 8-ball 18-run cameo to push CSK past 200. Khejroliya chipped with Jadeja’s wicket in the final over bringing MS Dhoni out int he middle who remained unbeaten to take the score to 235/4.
