Trainers, Don’t be shocked, someone’s arriving to steel the show. This isn’t a trap—we’re excited to announce a new Limited Research Day featuring Stunfisk and Galarian Stunfisk!

Pokemon Go April Update: Celebrate the Trap Pokemon with a Limited Pokemon Go Research Day!

In addition, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Stunfisk—if you’re lucky! Head out and collect those Field Research tasks and see how many Stunfisk you can encounter!

Stunfisk Limited Research Day

Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Featured Pokemon – Limited Field Research tasks will be available when you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops. Complete them to encounter either Stunfisk or Galarian Stunfisk!

Event Bonuses

You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Stunfisk and Shiny Galarian Stunfisk.

Wild encounters

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

  • Sandshrew
  • Diglett
  • Gligar
  • Swinub
  • Phanpy
  • Larvitar
  • Numel
  • Barboach
  • Baltoy
  • Hippopotas
  • Drilbur
