UFC News Roundup 2: Alex Pereira Favors Robert Whittaker in UFC 290
Despite his decision to retire from the 185-pound class, Alex Pereira is still interested in competing against the top middleweights. Recently, the former UFC champion shared his unvarnished thoughts on Robert Whittaker’s impending matchup at UFC 290. Whittaker, an A-list competitor, has every reason to regard himself as the favourite in UFC 290. He must not, however, ignore the dangers Dricus Du Plessis poses.
Du Plessis (19-2) has won seven straight matches, including the last five in the UFC. He has impressive wins over Darren Till and Derek Brunson, and MMA Fighting now ranks him as the eighth-best middleweight in the world. Whittaker is an A-listed fighter and can rightly consider himself the favourite at UFC 290.

When Jake Paul fights Diaz on August 5 at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, he hopes to bounce back from a recent defeat to Tommy Fury.
