Quinton de Kock was once again absent from LSG Playing 11 in the last match. Mark Wood was also surprisingly benched by KL Rahul as Naveen-ul-Haq made his Lucknow Super Giants debut, while Kyle Mayers kept his spot.

De Kock will be essential to LSG’s campaign as KL Rahul affirmed in the last fixture. But will he play vs Gujarat Titans?

LSG Playing 11: Permutations and Combinations

The team led by KL Rahul has checked off most of the boxes and appears to be well-rounded.
With the exception of captain Rahul and Deepak Hooda, the rest of the team has appeared reliable.
Foreign players Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, Mayers, and Mark Wood have been a key component of LSG’s success this season. Every player has stepped up and changed the game for the team.

Kyle Mayers at the top, Nicholas Pooran, and Marcus Stoinis in the middle, who can destroy any opposition, are all powerful batsmen for Lucknow.
While Mayers performed well on the powerplay, he may want to consider forming partnerships after the first six overs, especially given that Deepak Hooda is finding it difficult to score runs at the top.
Ravi Bishnoi is a cunning customer with a potent googly, and captain Rahul should consider utilising him there instead of saving him for the death overs.
LSG’s fast bowlers Mark Wood and Avesh Khan have the same ferocious pace.
It will be interesting to see if Naveen-ul-Haq will retain his place from the last match or not. It is more likely that Mark Wood will replace the Afghanistan bowler.
