Meanwhile, Gervonta Davis’s Knockout ratio cites him to be a better stoppage winner than Ryan Garcia. Besides, Davis can also look at Luke Campbell’s performance and understand how ‘Cool Hands’ knocked down Ryan Garcia back in 2021.

Ahead of April 22, Ryan Garcia connected with Showtime Sports and looked back at his knockdown.

He said, “I just got hit and then I [had] seen like white and I was up. So I don’t even know. I didn’t realize I was even down. I was just up. I looked at my dad said ‘I got it, don’t worry.’ Because I knew I was in control of the fight.”

“It’s just like you get hit with a shot and you gotta realize, whether you were controlling the fight or you weren’t controlling the fight?.”

Ryan Garcia added, “I just remember I had this thought one time. Oh, not one time, when I stepped up to him. I felt like a little dizzy. I said, man I have been drunk way worse than this. “

Luke Campbell knocked down Ryan Garcia with a crushing left hook in round 2 of their main-event bout. However, Garcia went back to his feet instantly. He then marched forward and put on a commendable performance, stopping Luke Campbell in round seven with body shots.

Ryan Garcia also became the WBC Interim lightweight champion and a mandatory challenger to the WBC world title. However, he went into a long hiatus of over a year that forced the WBC to strip him of the Interim strap.
