DC vs CSK Head-to-Head: On a high after beating Punjab Kings in Dharamsala by 15 runs, Delhi Capitals will be looking to cause a major shakedown in the points table, when they host Chennai Super Kings on Super Saturday, May 14. CSK is placed second on the points table, but still haven’t booked their playoffs berth yet. The Men in Yellow Brigade has won seven matches, lost five and the rain interrupted match against Lucknow Super Giants has helped them to gain 15 points so far. A win on Saturday against Delhi will guarantee them a playoffs berth. DC on the other hand would look to end the season on a high. David Warner led unit has won three out of the last five matches, after enduring a disastrous start to their campaign. The match will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. MS Dhoni is expected to garner a lot of support at the venue. Ahead of the clash, take a look at the DC vs CSK Head-To-Head record. Follow Indian Premier League 2023 Live Updates on Insidesport.In.

DC vs CSK Head-To-Head: The past record in numbers
Chennai and Delhi have locked horns once in IPL 2023. In Match 55, the Chennai Super Kings defeated the Delhi Capitals by 27 runs. Both Delhi and Chennai were part of the inaugural IPL season. Since then, the rivalry has witnessed plenty of amazing clashes. The Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals have played a total of 28 matches against each other in the IPL. CSK has won 18 matches, while DC has managed 10 wins.
The first match between the two teams was played in 2008, when DC defeated CSK by eight wickets. DC skipper Virender Sehwag played an incredible 71-run innings off 41 balls. Both DC and CSK were almost neck and neck in the head-to-head records until 2012. CSK won seven back-to-back matches between 2012 and 2015 and took the lead.
Even though Delhi is out of the playoffs, they have a great chance to do other teams a huge favour by beating Chennai at home. Most importantly, Capitals have a chance to end the season on a high and give their fans a massive reason to come back and support them in 2024. Chennai would like to seal the debate on Saturday, and seal the qualification berth.
