The tussle between Kohli and Ganguly started in 2021 when the former decided to relinquish T20 captaincy and continue to lead India in Test and ODI format. However, Kohli was sacked as the ODI skipper as well. Kohli had then revealed that no prior communication with him regarding the decision.
“There was no prior communication with me at all since I announced the T20 captaincy decision until the 8th of December. I was told that the selectors had decided that I won’t be ODI captain to which I replied, ‘Okay, fine’. There was no prior communication. That is what happened,” Kohli said earlier.
Coming to IPL, Kohli has started well with the bat but failed to score runs in his last outing. RCB also lost their contest against CSK in a high-octane clash. Meanwhile, the Capitals will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in their next encounter of the IPL. The match will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on April 20.
