Khamzat Chimaev Next Fight: WATCH Sean O’Malley Unearth Chimaev’s Chances of Beating Paulo Costa: UFC News: Khamzat Chimaev, an unbeaten phenomenon at welterweight, has been yearning to return to the octagon for nearly six months. The Swedish boxer has been feeling downhearted because of the dearth of willing opponents. In a recent major update, Dana White announced Chimaev’s next battle will be the biggest of his career. ‘Borz’ was supposed to challenge for the welterweight championship at first. Since then, Dana White has recommended that the European settle into the middleweight class rather than continue competing at 170.

Sean O’Malley in his YouTube video shared Khazmat Chimaev’s chances of dominating Paulo Costa might be slim while moving up in the weight category, though it makes sense to move up to 185 lbs permanently if he isn’t able to keep 170 lbs safely, but his size may be a question. But at 185 lbs he will have to face the current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. Though he is not hugely built, his striking style does not require him to be big.

Chimaev’s way of dominating fights against his opponents largely depends on having a physical advantage over his opponents. But his opponent for his next match is Costa, who is a huge middleweight and has been in the 185 lbs category for a while now. It is unlikely that Chimaev will be able to match up with Costa’s strengths.
