The Old Lady fans were split over Allegri’s ruthless” treatment of the 22-year-old star. Juve teammates also consoled Nicolo Fagioli. He took this decision hard despite the support from his teammates.
The whole story happened in the Juventus-Sassuolo game where substitute Gregoire Defrel scored a 64th winner to leave the Juventus fans in shock. It was Fagioli’s poor clearance that led to Sassuolo’s three points at Stadio Città del Tricolore.
With the defeat in an away trip to Sassuolo, Juventus moved to 7th in the Serie A table and are now four points adrift of the top six. Europa League qualification is also seven points behind. Things are getting tough as it was their second successive loss in the Italian top flight.

Fagioli had his head in his hands crying after Allegri’s swift action. The emotions were all over and his colleagues tried to give him some sympathy.
One Juventus fan posted: “I look at this and think, this is why Allegri has won 5 Serie A Titles. I rate Fagioli but NO ONE should be overprotected, NO ONE.”
One more fan wrote: “Fagioli in tears on the bench after coming off. Yes, he made a mistake, but this isn’t on him. He’s been brilliant for so much of the season. Can’t let this rest on his head.”
One message reads, “Fagioli made a mistake but he’s one of the few players that you can see genuinely cares about the shirt and our club. I actually love him.”
Fans were split on this whole drama but they also found it heartbreaking.
One fans wrote a sympathy message: “Fagioli crying is so heartbreaking. Even the best make mistakes. It was an accident as he gave the ball away for Sassuolo to score. Still the same player everyone wants to see in midfield everyday for Juventus.”
Filip Kostic was also taken off at the same time as Fagiolo. Juventus manager brought Fabio Miretti and Federico Chiesa to level the score but it couldn’t work.
Meanwhile, the Juventus manager also looked in support of Fagiolo and he called him a responsible boy after the defeat on Sunday.
Allegri said after the game: “His tears mean he is a responsible boy. He made a mistake but he is not guilty of the loss, we are all responsible.”
