GT vs RR, IPL 2023: Ahead of crunch Rajasthan Royals clash, IPL organisers have given a big jolt to Hardik Pandya. Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Hardik has been fined whooping Rs 12 lakhs on Friday. When Gujarat Titans played Punjab Kings on April 13 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, they maintained a slow overrate, hence captain Hardik Pandya has been penalised for it.
Pandya has been fined because it was his team’s first infraction of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding minimum over-rate offences.

Gujarat Titans beat Punjab Kings
The Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six wickets on Thursday in Mohali, returning to winning ways in the Indian Premier League 2023.
GT won the match by one over thanks to a beautiful Shubman Gill half-century, an outstanding Mohit Sharma debut, and a Trademark Rahul Tewatia finish.
Sam Curran cleaned up Shubman Gill with 7 needed off the last over to regain momentum for PBKS. Rahul Tewatia, however, scooped Curran and struck the go-ahead runs to secure the victory for GT.

Earlier, after winning the toss, the Gujarat bowlers did a good job of limiting the Punjab squad to 153 runs.
After the 2020 season, Mohit Sharma, who was playing in his first IPL game, bowled brilliantly and claimed two wickets for 18 runs in his four-over spell. For his game-winning performance, Mohit received the Player of the Match honour.

After defeating the Punjab Kings, the Titans moved up to third position in the IPL 2023 points standings. On Sunday, April 16, the Hardik Pandya-led group will play against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
