Tottenham Manager: Tottenham and Chelsea have one thing in common in recent times. Both of them have got a tendency of looking for new managers when they get the chance. Chelsea has been known to be notorious for hiring and firing their managers on a whim, it seems as though Tottenham is catching up. Since 2019, Spurs have had 5 different managers at the helm. Tottenham’s first choice to replace Antonio Conte is currently Vincent Kompany. The 37-year-old Belgian’s first-season achievement in guiding Burnley back into the Premier League has astounded club chairman Daniel Levy. After a remarkable season that saw the Clarets promoted in a record amount of time, Spurs management has gotten nothing but praise.
It was reported last month that the Manchester City legend was a surprise name on Levy’s shortlist. Kompany is increasingly thought of as the club’s manager who can give Spurs a fresh perspective. Spurs have observed how Mikel Arteta, who spent three years serving as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at City, has turned arch-rivals Arsenal into championship challengers in the Premier League.

Prior to managing Anderlecht in 2019, Kompany served as the team’s captain under Guardiola for quite a long amount of time. Guardiola, who has predicted he will lead the Etihad in the future, helped him win two of his four Premier League championships. In addition to Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs are also thinking about Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Brendan Rodgers, and Arne Slot.
However, critically for Levy, Kompany transformed Burnley into the Championship’s most entertaining team after assembling virtually a brand-new team. As he worries the Clarets might lack the resources to compete in the Premier League, Kompany is rumoured to be willing to listen if Spurs make a move.

Harry Kane’s future is once again in doubt, and the team is in a fight to finish in the top four, therefore Levy wants to find a new manager as soon as possible. Spurs are three points behind Newcastle and Manchester United, in 5th place, but have played a game more.
Antonio Conte’s sacking
In March, following several weeks of ambiguity, Conte was fired. After the 3-3 draw against Southampton, the 53-year-old Italian manager launched a shocking attack on his ‘selfish’ Spurs flops. This was the final straw for the Italian as Levy decided to pull the plug on his Spurs managerial role.
For the remainder of the season, his assistant Cristian Stellini will serve as Tottenham’s head coach in an acting capacity. Ryan Mason, a former midfielder in the Premier League, is the Italian’s assistant head coach as they work to revitalise Spurs and secure a place in the Champions League this year.
