IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Sisanda Magala will be missing from the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 for at least the ensuing two weeks. The fast bowler hurt his finger while taking Ravichandran Ashwin’s catch during the match between the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals at the MA Chidamabaram Stadium (Chepauk Stadium) on Wednesday. This is a significant setback for the franchise, which is already severely hampered by player injuries. Due to an injury, star all-arounder Ben Stokes was unable to participate in the game against the Royals. Deepak Chahar is already out for the Chennai team owing to an injury, while Mukesh Chaudhary is out for the season. Follow IPL 2023 LIVE updates with InsideSport.IN

Magala’s injury status was updated by CSK coach Stephen Fleming during the post-game news conference. Magala has a finger injury, and Fleming has confirmed that he will be out of action for at least the next two weeks.
In the upcoming two weeks, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has three games planned. Their next trip will take them to Bengaluru, where they will play the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 17, Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 21, and Kolkata Knight Riders on April 23.
Stephen Fleming gave updates on the other CSK players at the same press conference. He claimed that Ben Stokes was continually being watched. He’ll probably soon be available to play for CSK. Deepak Chahar won’t be available for a few weeks.
Matheesha Pathirana of Sri Lanka is most likely to take Sisanda Magala’s position in the starting XI for the upcoming game. In New Zealand, Pathirana tested positive for COVID-19, but he is now well. Last year, the Sri Lankan pacer made his CSK debut and won over the crowd with his bowling abilities.
