He recently posted pictures on social media including one of himself controlling a ball on his chest in the same way as his father. Fans have been going crazy after seeing the pictures. Kai Rooney has expressed that he is an Everton fan, but he has also expressed that his idol is his father and he wants to play for Manchester United as he grows up. He signed under the Man United Academy back in 2020 and has been giving brilliant performances every season. Currently, the 13-year-old is playing under Man United’s U13 team.
After signing for the academy in 2020, he scored a whopping 56 goals and gave 28 assists throughout all competitions the following season. He scored all 4 goals in Man United’s 5-4 defeat against Liverpool and scored from an overhead kick for the U12 team against Man City. He plays in the No. 12 jersey and has already lifted the National Cup North trophy for the U13 age group.
Recently Kai Rooney posted some pictures from one of his matches with the U13 Man United team. The pictures depict a story of his brilliant performance for the team. Among them, one picture contained Rooney Jr. controlling a ball in the air just like his father. This sent fans into a frenzy who commented on the picture.
One fan commented, “Welcome to the Family fully”. Another fan added, “No DNA test needed! You are Wayne Rooney’s son! That chest control likeness is so Wazza!” A third fan commented, “The future of Manchester United.” The 13-year-old has also expressed that he expects to play for Manchester United in the next 10 years.

About his future, the talented boy said, “In ten years hopefully I will be playing in the Premier League for Man United …that’s where I see myself but I’ve got to make it happen with the hard work and everything behind the scenes.” Seeing his form, his dream could just come true sooner rather than later. He even signed a deal with Puma at the age of only 12 years.
When the youngster was asked who his idol is, he replied, “I know it’s a a bit boring, but probably my dad as he’s helped me through some of the hard times and taught me a lot about the game.” He added, “Even just being in the car listening to him as a manager talking to all the players.”
