RR vs DC: Jos Buttler Mitchell Marsh –Rajasthan Royals heaved a sigh of relief as Jos Buttler recovered from a finger injury and is playing against Delhi Capitals. Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh is ruled out of the clash against RR as he is off to Australia for his wedding. Rovman Powell has replaced the Marsh in the playing XI. DC Bowling James Hopes confirmed the Australia all-rounder’s absence from the clash against the Royals. Marsh is likely to miss three to four games of IPL 2023 for DC.
Meanwhile, Buttler has soreness in his finger and is not fully fit to take on DC. The Englishman did not open the batting also in the Royals’ match against PBKS.

RR vs DC: Who will replace Buttler and Mitchell Marsh for RR and DC Respectively
RR have a solid option in Joe Root to replace Buttler. Like the wicketkeeper batter, Root can bat up the order and also give Royals a few handy overs of spin in the middle phase of the innings.
Root is yet to make his IPL debut. Apart from the former England captain, the Royals have the explosive option of Donovan Ferreira, leg-spin optiom in Adam Zampa, and pace bowler in Obed McCoy to go with to replace Buttler for the match against DC.
On the other hand the Capitals, they have big-hitting all-rounder Rovman Powell to come to replace Marsh for a few IPL games. DC also have Lungi Ngidi, and Mustafizur Rahman to replace Marsh.
Both players though do not offer batting options as Marsh does. Powell seems likely to replace Marsh, while Root is tipped to finally make his IPL debut in place of Buttler.
Speaking about the Capitals, they are the only team apart from SRH to lose two games on the bounce in IPL 2023 season. DC is still searching for their first win, meanwhile, RR have played two games winning one and losing one against PBKS.
