Chelsea appointed Graham Potter as the new manager in September by removing Thomas Tuchel. The former Brighton manager had a poor reason and his winning percentage was around 30%. The Blues slipped to the bottom ten of the table and they were knocked out in both domestic cups. After the loss against Aston Villa, Potter was sacked by the club.

We cannot deny the fact that Potter failed to get the same respect as Tuchel from Chelsea players. The 47-year-old Potter was relieved of his duties on Sunday. During his short stint, Potter won only 12 games out of 31. He guided Chelsea into the quarterfinals but Premier League failure added worry sign to his job.

Graham Potter struggled to win the players over and they believed he lacked authority. January transfer window was his first window where Chelsea invested in Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk. Signings did not lead to an upturn in results.

Recently, Aubemeynag also celebrated his departure by liking an Instagram post regarding the sacking of Graham Potter. The Gabon international was not part of Graham Potter’s starting XI and was also removed from the Champions League squad.
