Dana White update: UFC X WWE: UFC’s parent company Endeavour has now acquired WWE, which means that the MMA promotion and the pro-wrestling promotion now come under one roof with a total of $21 billion worth of sports and entertainment company. Follow UFC and WWE updates with Insidesport.IN.
The news came right after the end of WrestleMania 39 and a week prior to UFC 287 Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya 2. That said, Dana White will continue to be the UFC President.
Endeavour CEO Ari Emanuel will lead the entire business project. Meanwhile, Tony Khan will be the President of WWE with Vince McMahon remaining as the WWE Executive Chairman.
Dana White has reacted to this new merger between WWE and UFC, spreading optimism for fight fans all over the world.
The UFC President said, “This company has been on fire for the last seven years and now that we will be adding WWE to the portfolio, I am excited to take this to another level.”
“Vince is a savage in the wrestling space, Ari is a beast at what he does and then add what we at UFC bring to the table and there is no limit to what this company can accomplish in the next few years.”

The new venture will aim at growing the revenue of both companies alongside ticket sales and media rights. Meanwhile, there wouldn’t be any confusion regarding how independently both promotions will continue to operate.
Dana White and his promotion have already lined up the month of April with stacked events. Following UFC 287, there would be three Fight Night events.

According to reports, Endeavour owns 50% of the UFC. They purchased the company rights from Zuffa and Ferrita Brothers, which the Ferrita brothers had purchased back in 2001 with only $2 million.
