With his debut, Hangargekar became the fourth youngest player to debut for the Yellow Army. The talented all-rounder is 20-years old. CSK had signed up Rajvardhan Hangargekar before IPL 2022 after his impressive displays in the U19 World Cup. He was one of the five U19 World Cup winners to earn an IPL contract. The 20-year-old had played a key role in India’s record fifth World Cup win and was rewarded with a lucrative maiden IPL contract as CSK splashed out INR 1.5 crore to secure his services.

Rajvardhan Hangargekar looks to make an impact on his IPL debut, we are taking a look at his cricket journey so far. The youngster hails from Tuljapur in Maharashtra. His skillset makes him a valuable asset in the game, especially in the shortest format of the game. He is a fast-bowling all-rounder who can constantly touch the 140kph mark and has the ability to hit the big shots down the order.
During last year’s U19 World Cup, he did manage to show his abilities to the cricket world. During the semifinal clash against Australia, one of his deliveries was clocked at 141.7 kph. As far as his batting in the competition is concerned, he smashed 6 sixes off the 28 balls he faced including three consecutive sixes in the group game against Ireland where he scored an unbeaten 37.
