It has been yet so near so far for RCB in the 15 years of IPL. The franchise has managed to reach finals three times but has failed to cross the finish line. Kohli though believes this might be the year owing to the team having a solid balance with bat and ball. After relinquishing captaincy in the 2022 season, Kohli is yet to find his groove with the bat in hand. Fans are desperate to see the 2016 version of the right-hand batter.
Undoubtedly, the former India captain’s best season with the bat came in 2016, wherein he scored a min-boggling 973 runs in 16 matches. Kohli scored four hundred and took RCB to the finals of the IPL. With no pressure of captaincy, Kohli can express himself with the bat in hand, just as he did during the T20 World Cup 2022.
