Pakistan New Coach: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to appoint former South African pacer Morne Morkel as the bowling coach. After a successful career in Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals, Morkel is currently the bowling coach of Lucknow Super Giants. Recently, Morkel was the bowling coach of New Zealand women’s team in the Women’s T20 WC. In addition, as reported by InsideSport earlier, Mickey Arthur will join in a consultant role. However, barring some series, Arthur won’t be available with Babar Azam & Co physically. Follow Pakistan Cricket Team LIVE & IPL 2023 LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.
Arthur will work remotely throughout the season. He will also miss the Asia Cup. However, Arthur is expected to be with the team for the World Cup 2023. Pakistan’s former fielding coach Grant Bradburn will take charge of the team with Cliffe Deacon and Drikus Saainman keeping their jobs.

The first priority for Morkel currently is to finish his stint with the Lucknow Super Giants for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. Back in 2022, the former South African pacer was a part of the support staff for Namibia. In the inaugural season of SA20, Morkel played a crucial role in coaching the Durban Super Giants where he is the bowling coach.
As for Mickey Arthur, he will work with the Pakistan Cricket team in a special correspondence. Arthur will continue to work as a consultant while Morkel is all set to become the bowling coach for Babar Azam and Co.
