The Argentine fans had an incredible opportunity to celebrate with their heroes and they took it with both hands. First, in their game against Panama in Buenos Aires and then in their second game in the city of Santiago del Estero. Messi was also felicitated by CONMEBOL as they built a statue of him with the World Cup, and the statue would be alongside the statue of Pele and Diego Maradona at the CONMEBOL headquarters.

The whole of the Argentine squad was also given replica trophies in the first game in Buenos Aires. All the players celebrated the same with the fans as Lionel Messi and their head coach, Lionel Scaloni addressed the crowd and thanked them for all the outpouring of love and support they have shown the team over the course of the last 4 months.
Now that the international break is done and Messi returns back to PSG, wherein they only have the chance to win the Ligue 1, it will be interesting to see how Messi performs in France. With his contract up in the summer, the train of speculation regarding his future is just about to leave the station. All things considered, it’s going to be a busy summer for Messi.
