IPL 2023: Jio has launched its entry-level broadband service just in time for the Indian Premier League‘s 16th season. The latest Jio broadband plan is Rs 198 per month. The scheme is known as the Broadband Backup plan. As an entry-level broadband package, this one will provide the fastest possible internet speed of 10 Mbps. Prior to this, a Jio Fiber connection cost a minimum of Rs 399 per month. The plan will be available beginning on March 30, just one day before the IPL 2023 begins. “…we at Jio understand the customer’s need to remain connected round the clock with dependable broadband connectivity at home. With JioFiber Backup, we want to offer alternate reliable broadband connectivity for homes. This new concept of a back-up connection allows homes to have an alternate broadband connectivity with an assured supply of data at an affordable price,” Jio spokesperson said.
Jio is promising constant connectivity and unbroken streaming, which is strategically timed as it comes just before the start of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League, which begins on Friday and is freely available on the JioCinema app. One day before to the start of the tournament on March 30, the new broadband connectivity plan will be available.
In accordance with this offer, the provider is also giving customers the choice to improve their internet speed to 30 Mbps or 100 Mbps for a period of 1 to 7 days. They will be required to pay somewhere between Rs 21 and Rs 152 for this. Jio currently holds a 30.6 percent market share in the fixed-line connection segment with 84 lakh consumers. For the service, which includes installation fees and five months of usage, a new customer must pay Rs 1,490.
