Cody Rhodes outlasted 29 other Wrestlers to become the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Following that, he challenged Roman Reigns to a match at WrestleMania for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
WrestleMania 39 is all set to take place on April 1 and 2, 2023. However, days before that, Cody Rhodes shared his thoughts about his WrestleMania opponent.
Cody Rhodes recently appeared in an interview with WrestleJoy, where he addressed Roman as a “lifelong investment by WWE.”
Rhodes said “It’s ironic coming from Roman (Reigns), who is a lifelong investment by WWE. That investment is absolutely paying off. But it just started paying off. I’ve talked about him with the greatest of reverence and respect because I know how absolutely dang special he is in our world.” (H/T:- WrestleJoy)
Rhodes later stated that at the end of the day, it is Roman Reigns’ duty as a champion to prove that he is what he claims to be.
On Monday Night Raw Last week, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes came face to face. During their encounter, though the two WWE Superstars didn’t exchange physical blows, they surely exchanged massive verbal blows at each other. Also, Cody Rhodes made some bold predictions about Roman Reigns’ future.
