Cody Rhodes outlasted 29 other Wrestlers to become the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Following that, he challenged Roman Reigns to a match at WrestleMania for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
WrestleMania 39 is all set to take place on April 1 and 2, 2023. However, days before that, Cody Rhodes shared his thoughts about his WrestleMania opponent.
Cody Rhodes recently appeared in an interview with WrestleJoy, where he addressed Roman as a “lifelong investment by WWE.”
Rhodes said “It’s ironic coming from Roman (Reigns), who is a lifelong investment by WWE. That investment is absolutely paying off. But it just started paying off. I’ve talked about him with the greatest of reverence and respect because I know how absolutely dang special he is in our world.” (H/T:- WrestleJoy)
Rhodes later stated that at the end of the day, it is Roman Reigns’ duty as a champion to prove that he is what he claims to be.
