Mumbai Indians men’s skipper Rohit Sharma said in a video posted by the team’s official Twitter handle, “I want to wish our women’s team all the very best for the final. I have enjoyed the way you have played your cricket over these last three or four weeks. It is a final, you do not get to play a final every day. So I hope you enjoy and have fun at the same time. Enjoy the atmosphere, it is going to be amazing. We are all going to cheer for you. So go out there and give your best.”
Young MI batter Tilak Verma, who made the heads turn in IPL 2022 with his fearless batting, also said, “All the very best to Mumbai Indians women’s team. We are here to support you. Hope you get the first title. Good luck.”Tim David, the young Singapore-born Australian batter also said, ” All the best to the girls’ team for the final. It has been a fantastic season so far.”

Both teams have had a remarkable journey in WPL so far. Delhi Capitals finished at the top of the points table with six wins, two losses and 12 points to get a direct ticket to the final. Mumbai Indians, the second-placed team with six wins, two losses and 12 points, advanced to the final after beating a third-placed UP Warriorz by 72 runs in the eliminator. Both teams have a great mixture of star power and exciting young talent. This has helped them secure their respective spots in the final.
