Matthew Short had an excellent season with Adelaide Strikers. He scored 458 runs in 14 games at an average of 35.23 including a century and two fifties. He also struck the ball at 144.47 strike rate. With the ball, he was effective as well, scalping 11 wickets in 14 games.
