IPL 2023: ‘Mr 360’ AB de Villiers and ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle have arrived in Bengaluru to attend the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Unbox event which will take place on Sunday. The RCB franchise shared the pictures of the legendary batters on their social media handles to announce their arrival. Fans will get the opportunity to see their beloved players, including as Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, etc, during the team’s opening practice session at the RCB Unbox event. Additionally, the 2023 jersey will be unveiled. The three biggest talents of the RCB, Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers, will also reunite at the occasion. The team will honour the de Villiers and Gayle by permanently retiring their jersey numbers and inducting them into the RCB Hall of Fame.

While De Villiers appeared in 144 games for RCB with close to 5,000 runs and a strike rate of 158.6, Gayle played 84 games for the team and amassed an astounding 3,163 runs at an average of just under 44 and a strike rate of 152.7, slamming 249 fours and 239 sixes.
RCB will kick off their IPL 2023 campaign with a clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) at their home arena, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Last year, RCB qualified for playoffs and finished fourth in the competition after losing to Rajasthan Royals in qualifier 2 by seven wickets.
