Mourinho coached Real Madrid previously between 2010 and 2013, delivering Los Blancos a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey title, and the Supercopa de Espana. This is an impressive achievement considering it was during the time of Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Barcelona team.
However, some experts have questioned whether Mourinho’s appointment would be a good move at this time. Notably, the former Chelsea boss has won a trophy at every club he has been at apart from Tottenham, where he was not given the chance to manage the League Cup final in 2021.
Meanwhile, some reports have also claimed that Ligue 1 club PSG is keen to have Mourinho onboard next season. Current manager Christophe Galtier has been in hot water after his side exited the UEFA Champions League. The French club has struggled this season both in domestic and European competition. They exited the Champions League after losing 3-0 on aggregate to Bayern Munich in the last 16. PSG also suffered a 0-2 defeat at home by Rennes on Sunday (March 19). It was the first time the Parisians lost at home in the league since April 2021.
